So a drive past the house today shows we now have downpipes on the house, only there is one problem. The pipes are pvc pipes and not colourbond much to our dismay, the wife thinks they look terrible. So called the SS today to get clarification, apparently we get PVC pipes if we have a water tank install, problem is we don't have a water tank as the development already has recycled water. SS has told me that the plumbers have put on the wrong stuff and that colourbond should be on there and will get it all fixed.
Also told that scaffolding will be reduced down on Monday for tiling of the bottom floor, hopefully they have the eaves painted by then and the downpipes replaced with colourbond in such a short time. Here is hoping, once again our SS is man of the hour it does make a difference when you have that good communication happening.

Top Level Bricks Cleaned
We finally had some action this week with the top level bricks being washed as well as the bottom back wall and alfresco area. It has brought up some imperfections that the SS will need to have a look at, to be honest i'm a little let down by the final result especially compared to other houses with the same bricks.
The mortar between the alfresco walls appears to be slightly separated.
Seems to be slight cracking in mortar.
Looks like the motar was finger painted on.

Eaves Top Level
Update from the weekend, carpenter arrived on saturday to do the eaves on the top level of the house except for the areas were there is going to be weatherboard. Basically the following needs to be done before we get to lock up:
- Weatherboard to be fixed to front, left and back of top level.
- Eaves to be finished over the weatherboard area's.
- Eaves and weatherboard to be painted.
- Top level bricks to be cleaned.
- Adjust the scafolding from top level.
- Complete tiling and eaves for ground level roof areas.
- Paint ground level eaves.
Hopefully once this is done the doors can be thrown on and the inside work can really progress. We really need to get this house finished in the next few months as we are now getting pressure from the bank due to our delays. Let's hope this week is more productive. Pictures are below of eaves on top level.

Week Ending 8th Feb
So we have had not much happen on the site this week, Monday they completed the concrete to the tiles and Tuesday-Friday only had some board and strips delivered for the eaves. We had 5 days of sunshine and almost zero work done to the house what a let down.
Also tried to call the SS a couple of times this week but straight to Voicemail, so no update now for 2 weeks from our SS.

Tiling Cont.....
So thanks to the big wet the end of last week we had another delay in the tiling of the main roof. The tiling was done except for the concrete of the edge tiles. This has been completed today so gutter, facia and tiles on top roof are completed.
Tiling edges are cemented in and completed.

Scaffolding & Bricking Cont....
So as mentioned in the last post scaffolding went up last saturday and 1st floor bricking has started. Things are moving along nicely. Hopefully from now on we have no more issues with the build. Visited the site yesterday and found a couple of minor bird nests, found a nice big stick and moved them OUT! It's amazing how quickly they setup home within your home.
Anyways some photos of scaffolding and bricking of 1st level progress.
