Eaves Top Level

Update from the weekend, carpenter arrived on saturday to do the eaves on the top level of the house except for the areas were there is going to be weatherboard. Basically the following needs to be done before we get to lock up:

• Weatherboard to be fixed to front, left and back of top level.
• Eaves to be finished over the weatherboard area's.
• Eaves and weatherboard to be painted.
• Top level bricks to be cleaned.
• Adjust the scafolding from top level.
• Complete tiling and eaves for ground level roof areas.
• Paint ground level eaves.

Hopefully once this is done the doors can be thrown on and the inside work can really progress. We really need to get this house finished in the next few months as we are now getting pressure from the bank due to our delays. Let's hope this week is more productive. Week Ending 8th Feb

So we have had not much happen on the site this week, Monday they completed the concrete to the tiles and Tuesday-Friday only had some board and strips delivered for the eaves. We had 5 days of sunshine and almost zero work done to the house what a let down.

Also tried to call the SS a couple of times this week but straight to Voicemail, so no update now for 2 weeks from our SS.

Tiling Cont.....

So thanks to the big wet the end of last week we had another delay in the tiling of the main roof. The tiling was done except for the concrete of the edge tiles. This has been completed today so gutter, facia and tiles on top roof are completed.

Tiling edges are cemented in and completed.

Guttering and Tiling

Work has began on the guttering on the top level, i have also been informed that tiling of the top roof will begin this week, lets hope it does get all done. The sooner we are at lockup the better with the weather we have has lately.

Scaffolding & Bricking Cont....

So as mentioned in the last post scaffolding went up last saturday and 1st floor bricking has started. Things are moving along nicely. Hopefully from now on we have no more issues with the build. Visited the site yesterday and found a couple of minor bird nests, found a nice big stick and moved them OUT! It's amazing how quickly they setup home within your home.

Bricking continues

Well big progress last week, bricked have finished the first level and scaffolding went up Saturday and bricked back today to start second level. Hopefully things keep moving on.

Also the internal waste plumbing has now been done and completed.

New Year Update

Firstly Happy New Year!

With formalities over went out to the site yesterday to see if anything has happened as our SS said the brickies will be starting early new year but sadly other then some peoples Christmas rubbish nothing new on the site, i hate this time of year as we were going so well till the bricks issue.

Hopefully the new year will see a fast start and finish to our home. Lets hope the bricking is done before the end of Jan, i am slightly worried about the frame buckling a bit with the heat Sydney has been getting.
